A Call to Artists

Fifteen years ago on August 15th... we held our first Mary Day Procession: A Celebration of Womanhood, Art, and Grace. This year— we’re bringing it back. In addition to the Mary Day event on August 15th, we are adding a curated art show. We are looking for 2-D or 3-D pieces that incorporate and celebrate: Mary as the Universal Mother, Inclusion, Care, Loss, Renewal, Ascension, Vivification, the Feminine, and Love.

We are looking for artwork that not only upholds the spirit of Mary Day, but also fits within the aesthetic and philosophy of the Oxford Treehouse Gallery. For more information visit the About Us section on our website. All 2-D work must be suitably framed, wired and ready for hanging. All 3-D work must be able to hang securely on the wall, sit on a shelf, pedestal or the floor.

Please send an image of your submission to Oxfordtreehousegallery@gmail.com before July 15th in order to be considered. Questions can be directed to that email or by phone 662.236.1667.

DELIVERY OF WORK:
Hand-delivered work will be accepted at the gallery during business hours Thursday-Saturday 12-6 or by appointment. Arrangements for pick up can be made. Contact Oxford Treehouse Gallery for more details. Mailed packages can be sent to:

RETURN:

LIABILITY:
Great care will be taken with all work, but artists are responsible for insuring their own pieces if they wish. Oxford Treehouse Gallery will not be responsible for any loss or damage to work while on the premises or in transit to or from the gallery.

The Mary Day exhibit will be up from August through September of 2018.

Note: Because this is a curated show in a smaller space, not all submissions will be accepted. As a small gallery, we always want to support artists but are limited by space and time.

Oxford Treehouse Gallery represents 20+ regional artists who work in various mediums including ceramics, painting, sculpture, metal work, jewelry, wood turning, wood and metal furniture, block-printing and weaving.

The gallery also serves as a beautiful event venue for intimate parties of ten to grand receptions for 100.

On-site at OTG you will find a working blacksmith/wood shop, a b&b apartment for rent, chickens roaming, cats hanging out and an occasional dog or two sneaking away from our house to check on the gallery activity.

We are a very short ride from Oxford but a world away from everyday stresses.

Come take a deep breath as you drive up the lane to the gallery, sit a bit on the screened porch nestled in the trees, and immerse yourself in the creative atmosphere of OTG...A Mississippi Art Haven.

We live and work on the OTG property so we are HAPPY to open ANYTIME.
