Fifteen years ago on August 15th... we held our first Mary Day Procession: A Celebration of Womanhood, Art, and Grace. This year— we’re bringing it back. In addition to the Mary Day event on August 15th at 6 pm, we are adding a curated art show that incorporates and celebrates: Mary as the Universal Mother, Inclusion, Care, Loss, Renewal, Ascension, Vivification, the Feminine, and Love.
The artists included in Mary Day 2018 are:
Michelle Allee, Joe Ann Allen, Jimpsie Ayers, Marshall Blevins, Laurie Alan Browne, Nina Cork, Earl Dismuke, Beverly Doggrell, Paulette Dove, Cleta Ellington, Paul Fayard, Thomas Grosskopf, Joe MacGown, Kristin Inman, Hannah McCormick, Chesley Pearman, Constance Pierce, Ryan Pierce, Patricia Sims, Suzanne Talbert, KC Williams and Students of the St. Richard's Special Kids Program, Milly West Cuban Art and Kelly Young.
Oxford Treehouse Gallery represents 20+ regional artists who work in various mediums including ceramics, painting, sculpture, metal work, jewelry, wood turning, wood and metal furniture, block-printing and weaving.
The gallery also serves as a beautiful event venue for intimate parties of ten to grand receptions for 100.
On-site at OTG you will find a working blacksmith/wood shop, a b&b apartment for rent, chickens roaming, cats hanging out and an occasional dog or two sneaking away from our house to check on the gallery activity.
We are a very short ride from Oxford but a world away from everyday stresses.
Come take a deep breath as you drive up the lane to the gallery, sit a bit on the screened porch nestled in the trees, and immerse yourself in the creative atmosphere of OTG...A Mississippi Art Haven.
We live and work on the OTG property so we are HAPPY to open ANYTIME.
Regular gallery hours Thursday-Saturday noon to six.
