My work is in response to images that appear in my mind- always in color. As I work to capture the images on canvas, I realize that the shapes and colors represent myself in various spiritual stages. Sometimes my spirit is bound by the concerns of the world and other times it flies or dreams of flying to another universe of perfect harmony. The marks that I make are the path of spiritual freedom that I experience when I paint.
