We have a lot going on these next few months at Oxford Treehouse Gallery. We hope you will join us for all of our fabulous events and help us celebrate our artists.
Next Week: Saturday, 9/22
Join us for an all-day open house in celebration of designers and decorators! We are cordially inviting local interior designers and decorators to come out to the gallery for refreshments and happies. We’ll be open from 12-6; all are welcome!
After, from 6-8 we are having a reception for Pam Hassler, whose gorgeous oil paintings we’ve been swooning over for the last few weeks.
Can’t make it on Saturday? Make an appointment to visit by calling 662.236.1667 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
September 29th from 6-8
We’ll be having an opening for Marvin Yates.
Marvin Yates is a watercolor artist from North Mississippi. He graduated from the Memphis College of Art in 1966. His work has been featured in galleries across the country as well as many corporate settings.
Mark your calendars! OTG is putting out our call to artists for our second annual Day of the Dead. This will be a very small show. We are looking for 2-D or 3-D pieces that incorporate and celebrate: death, remembrance, the Soul, afterlife, memory, the unshakeable familial ties that bind, and light in the languishing darkness. We are not looking for anything that can be considered an example of cultural appropriation.
We are looking for artwork that not only upholds the spirit of Day of the Dead, but also fits within the aesthetic and philosophy of the Oxford Treehouse Gallery. You can check out the About Us section on our website. All 2-D work must be suitably framed, wired and ready for hanging. All 3-D work must be able to hang securely on the wall, sit on a shelf, pedestal or the floor.
The submission images should be sent to Oxfordtreehousegallery@gmail.com no later than 10/14. We will make our official announcement on 10/21.
Oxford Treehouse Gallery’s Day of the Dead celebration will be on Friday, November 2nd.
