A few weeks ago we put out our first ever call to artists for the upcoming Mary Day event. We received so many great submissions and were humbled by such a rich response. This is the first of what we hope to be a recurring opportunity for artists. Thanks to everyone who submitted pieces and please stay tuned for our Call to Artists for Day of the Dead in September.
We are excited to have the following 23 artists as part of Mary Day:
Michelle Allee, Joe Ann Allen, Jimpsie Ayers, Marshall Blevins, Laurie Alan Browne, Nina Cork, Earl Dismuke, Beverly Doggrell, Paulette Dove, Cleta Ellington, Paul Fayard, Thomas Grosskopf, Joe MacGown, Kristin Inman, Hannah McCormick, Chesley Pearman, Constance Pierce, Ryan Pierce, Patricia Sims, Suzanne Talbert, KC Williams, Students of the St. Richard's Special Kids Program, Julio Barbon Davis*, and Kelly Young.
In addition to this very special show, the Mary Day event includes a potluck supper (bring your favorite comfort dish), Revivification Procession, and a raffle for a Carole Pigott painting the proceeds of which are going to Doors of Hope Transition Ministry. The Mary Day show will be up from August 1st - August 25th.
* Special thanks to Milly West for making this connection!
